Artwork created in response to the Tropical Mountain Plant Science Project; and art/science residency with the Australian Tropical Herbarium at James Cook University, supported by the Wet Tropics Management Authority.
"Often collaborating with ecologists, botanists and mycologists, I explore new ways to creatively interpret ecological data; working across sculpture, assemblage, installation and digital media to create works that consider imagined futures and provide sites of environmental observations. I have undertaken a number of residencies with organisations such as the Australian Tropical Herbarium, Queensland State Archives, Queensland Herbarium, Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Tanks Art Centre and the Department of Environment and Science. I have works held in both public and private collections and have exhibited widely in both solo and selected group exhibitions; and had work feature in state and national touring exhibitions". - Donna Davis
